Description
Southwest Christian School is looking for strong candidates to join our team who want to serve as Bus Drivers for our athletic and other extra-curricular programming. The ideal bus driver will demonstrate the ability to operate a bus carrying students according to all traffic laws and provide consistent and clear direction for the students when needed.
Bus drivers will work on an 'as-needed' basis during the 2024-2025 school year.
All SCS employees are expected to demonstrate patience, humility, integrity, and kindness while performing the day-to-day duties of the role and to prayerfully work with administration, faculty, students, and families to develop and maintain a school which is distinctively Christian, academically excellent, and globally minded.
Education & Experience Characteristics
High school diploma or equivalentCurrent CDL in good standingPrevious experience driving a school bus is preferredPersonal & Spiritual Characteristics
Is deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with our Savior, Jesus Christ through prayer, devotional study, and church membershipDemonstrates the spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to "train up a child in the way he should go" (Proverbs 22:6)Possesses the ability to work gracefully with parents, students, and other school staff to support our unified and successful educational programCooperates with administrators and other school leadership to follow policies and procedures as they pertain to the operation of School activitiesDemonstrates the ability to accept and carry out responsibilities and make competent, professional decisionsMaintains a professional personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and is in accordance with school policy
