The tvOS (HomePod, Apple TV) QA team is looking for test engineers with a passion for working on great products and drive world class quality on this exciting new product and platform. A successful candidate will be obsessed with quality improvement, process optimization and an intent for automated testing. We are looking for an outstanding software quality engineer with a strong technical background and understanding of Software testing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and conducting tests for tvOS products in the ASE Quality Engineering group at Apple. Your focus will be to develop, maintain and execute functional test plans across a variety of network topologies to ensure the highest quality of functionality before it reaches our customers’ hands. Testing will comprise of Functional, Regression testing and Automation development. You will be also responsible for the development of functional-based methodical testing strategies, creating & tracking high quality bug reports, and reporting on project progress & risk analysis. You will work very closely with the development, project management and cross-functional QA teams to ensure great quality for this amazing product.Minimum Qualifications5+ years QA experience, writing automation, test frameworks, automated test infrastructureExperience with working in cross functional collaborative projectsStrong understanding of SQA methodologies and practicesProven knowledge of internet protocols, web proxies, caching and other web related fundamentalsExperience in white box testingProficiency in object oriented languages like Swift, Python, or JavaKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Swift and XCTest is a plusFlexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to write automationAbility to identify and triage issuesStrong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills.Ability to lead projects and contribute as part of a teamEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
