Summary
Loading of customer vehicles in to tri-level / bi-level auto racks for the delivery of a damaged free product to off-loading destinations sites following the guideline set by the Association of American Railroads and Hyundai GLOVIS transportation and vehicle handling procedures.
Responsibilities
Load vehicles inside rail car.in accordance to the practices and standard of the Association of American railroads and Hyundai GL
Drive customers vehiclesWalk long distancesUse of hand toolsSet up and store bridge platesOpen/close and seal rail car doorAscend and descend rail car ladder (using 3 points of contact)Perform all rail loading activities following AAR practices and standardsSpot/park vehicle inside rail cars (with training and approval)Operate loading ramp (with training and approval)Write down VIN numbers on verification sheet (with training and approval)Scan vehicle with scanning device (with training and approval)
Follow Rules, Regulations and Procedures
Report all hazard/injuries/near misses to van driver or supervisorCommunicate well with co-workersPerform tasks in safe mannerFollow supervisor and van drivers given instructionsObey lead person, supervisor instructionsAlways wear safety equipment when working in and around railMake sound decisions in preventing hazard to yourself and co-workersObey all OSHA, FRA, AAR, Hyundai Glovis transportation manual, local and State guidelines and regulations
Other duties as assigned
Clean up of work area and out of work areaWhen needed assign to perform other departmental duties
