Job Description:
As a SR. OB Ultrasound Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations. This includes:
Performing diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures, providing quality images for interpretation.
Setting up and adjusting all equipment and manually maneuvering transducers to perform exams.
Implementing safety standards and performing appropriate quality control procedures.
Recognizing significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
Ensuring equipment is properly functioning and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
Assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.
Skillset Required:
OB 1st Trimester
OB 2nd Trimester - Anatomy Scan
High-risk OB 3rd Trimester
BPP Pelvic Gyn - Trans-abdominal and EV Scans
Experience with Amniocentesis and Cervical Cerclage procedures.
Requirements:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the ARRT obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the ARDMS obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
