Has up to date knowledge of the process.Please review requirements:FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE:Independently produces, directs and creates presentation, instructional, promotional, and other video and visual media products to communicate the goals and objectives of the Postal Service as it relates to employees and customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Collaborates with business drivers to develop creative and innovative communication strategies and visual messages to effectively integrate processes and communications across multiple delivery channels that resonate with a variety of audiences.2. Writes, produces, and directs video and multimedia projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision, to include but not limited to creating and writing scripts; advising customers on the best production type to achieve business objectives and goals. Supervises the production crew on overall concept, set up, design, and editing the final product; directs production, determines the appropriate clearance review procedures to ensure compliance with 508 standards.3. Performs post production work such as video editing; music, dialogue, and sound effects, mixing; and visual effects using current media creation tools and technologies.4. Designs, produces, and distributes national promotion, publicity programs and/or feature stories to multimedia outlets (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, USPS.com). Aligns message with brand identity and uses effective links that tie the content to USPS using design, visuals, web applications, and social media best practices.5. Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts/stakeholders to execute press conferences, special events, and national media events by developing broadcast quality video b-roll/sound bite packages for news media.6. Writes proposals for large scale media projects; Manages contracts and oversees vendors who provide production services. Ensures legal compliance in production (e.g., Releases, licenses, clearances, copyright)7. Develops video production budgets, timelines, and delivers multimedia and video content within established guidelines.REQUIREMENTS:Ability to research, write, edit and produce multimedia programs for employee communications and other external communications channels to include but not limited to special events, press conferences and other events specific to using multimedia assets.5 Years of experience using video and web content creation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) specifically Adobe Premier and After Effects to perform post production work to include editing, motion graphics, music, dialogue, sound effects, and visual effects.Ability to operate the most current video and audio production equipment, modern video and sound editing systems and production tools to deliver broadcast quality products.Ability to effectively use media to develop creative and impactful stories that promote organizational objectives.5 years of experience working directly with customers and stakeholders at various levels including executive and senior staff to create the desired vision for a communication message.Ability to plan, coordinate and assign work to meet unit objectives including organizing and monitoring workload, budgeting productions, facilitating the flow of work-related information, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and technical guidance to the production team.WORK SAMPLE REQUIREMENT: Applicants must submit a demo reel demonstrating a body of work within the field of visual media.
