SUMMARY STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team player with a creative eye for layouts and skilled at production design. This position requires a solid design background with a proven ability to create new designs and edit existing layouts. The Production Graphic Designer will have good interpersonal skills and will collaborate with the Creative team. This position will proof project work for accuracy and check projects for alignment with the specifications before leadership's review. They will also assist Office Services as needed by obtaining printing quotes and helping with packaging and mailing services.
The Production Graphic Designer must be both technical and creative, using these skills to create a finished product that meets organizational brand standards and client expectations.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:Creating and manipulating graphics through Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.Formatting graphics as well as collecting, packaging and proofing graphics files.Assisting the design team in producing print, packaging, advertising, event displays and digital graphics.Assessing project specifics and creating a final product that adheres to those requirements.Collaborating with leadership to define design goals and align creative processes.Reviewing and proofing graphic materials before the project is complete.Preparing images for online and mobile applications.Providing image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation.Maintaining production files, including fonts, images, logos and other artwork.Creating PDFs with standards for specific outputs - such as print-ready or digital use.Following a product workflow and timeline to ensure projects progress on time and deadlines are met.Other duties as assigned.Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent field.Minimum of two years of experience working within a Graphic Design department.Knowledge of the printing process.Strong written and verbal skills.Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.Team oriented.Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.KEY COMPETENCIES:
