 Fidelity TalentSource is your destination for discovering your next temporary role at Fidelity Investments. We are currently sourcing for a Software Engineer/DevOps to work in Fidelity’s Enterprise Infrastructure Group in Merrimack, NH or Westlake, TX.

The Role

EI Production Services organization is looking for a highly motivated Principal Software Engineer. You will be responsible for developing automation tooling for critical contact center applications for maintenance, upgrades, triaging, self-service tooling, and observability and deployment. In this role you will have an opportunity to transform our current support model along with technical teams how we are structured today. You will play a significant role continuously looking for ways to optimize and improve the deliver quality of code, testing and operational automation, monitoring & telemetry and resiliency within production.

The Expertise You Have

  • Experience managing technology environment stability and availability.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS)
  • Experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, ELK)
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with workflow design, data analysis, and requirements identification/specification
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies including SaaS solutions in the cloud and AWS
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies
  • Experience with Powershell and Python scripting
  • Proven experience with programming languages including Java.
  • Production support experience with financial systems
  • Proven creative and abstract thinking
  • Your skills as a teammate are necessary as you join a highly functioning Scrum team in an Agile work environment. You jump in and assist when help is needed and push to get the stories completed as you finish sprints and add beneficial interactions for our customers.
  • Will have effective communication and will share your ideas and opinions as we look to innovate and improve our platforms.
  • You will bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills which you share with your scrum teammates. You will ask for feedback and put goals in place to improve your own skills.
  • You will use your data security skills to keep our customers information safe.

  • Ability to provide 24x7 support for the production environments
  • Strong problem solving and fixing skills
The Value You Deliver
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational stability within the Associate Experience within the Call Centers and Investment Centers
  • Developing strategies and tools to quickly remediate operational problems
  • Work closely with the Product, Engineering and Production Support team members to help increase speed of delivery, improve quality of code, stability of production and optimize processes.
  • Improve monitoring & telemetry of applications, platforms and service interdependences allowing Service Desk and Support teams to be proactive vs reactive ahead of customer or associate reported issues.
  • Leverage KPIs to help improve the speed of deliver and quality to production, auto remediation, MTTR and closure of issue at
