Mainframe Test Analyst

Must Have Skills • 8 years+ in testing • Hand on experience in Developing COBOL, JCL Scripts • Hand on experience on online CICS programming • Have strong knowledge in SQL and able to write queries • Expertise in Execution & Monitoring of the Batch Jobs • Expertise in the Generation of Metrics (Dashboard) • Hand on experience in HP ALM tool, defect handling, Requirement Traceability Matrix • Good in test case designing, identifying test data needs and set up, testing techniques and test optimization methods • Effective Communication and presentation skills Secondary Skills • Preferred Mortgage/ Banking domain experience • Knowledge of database testing, mainframe testing, validation of text, html, excel and other files through automation Responsibilities • Prepare the Test plan/Test Strategy as per the requirements • Identify test data needs, Coordinate with Test Data teams. • Prepare the test schedules • Monitor the work of test analyst and ensure team members are providing the quality deliverables on time • Understand the project timelines and report the project status to Project managers • Design test scripts, positive and negative test cases, prepare Test data • Write SQL queries with Rapid SQL • Execute test cases • Raise defects in HP ALM, track till closure, mapping requirements to test cases • Communicate with development team on issues/ defects and communicate with business users for business related clarifications • Track Status of the testing thru ALM and Generate Metrics from ALM. • Prepare test results document, update test status in ALM • Conduct Test case, Test results walkthrough with business users
