Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.This position may be eligible for a Sign on Bonus of $15,000 with a 3 year commitment.Paid Time Off (PTO) available on Day 1!Options for Free Health Insurance!Be a part of a rewarding team while providing outstanding care to a variety of patients.Job SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties.Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day to day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation and clinical laboratory related continuing education.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science is required from an accredited college or university.License/Certification/RegistrationCompletion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter is required.DOT Urine Drug Screen Collection certification is preferred.ASCP/NCA certification within 12 months of employment is preferred.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday Days:9:00 am - 5:30 pmWeekend Rotation once a monthOccasional Holiday Rotation every 6thCall Time once a weekFull Time; 72 hours every 2 weeksPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
