Job DescriptionLaw firm located in the heart of Pasadena seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to join the Firm’s litigation team handling primarily probate and trust litigation. The Litigation Paralegal will work directly with one of the firm’s managing partners as well as other litigation attorneys. The Litigation Paralegal will provide support to attorneys in the litigation process, including managing files, conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents. You MUST be able to work well in a team environment as well as have the ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.

Job Description and Responsibilities include:

Assisting attorneys in preparing legal documents such as petitions, motions, and briefs

Organizing and maintaining case files and other legal documents

Preparing memorandums and preparation and filing of all court documents

Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis+

Coordinating with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as necessary

Managing attorney calendars and scheduling, including tracking deadlines

Providing administrative support to attorneys including drafting correspondence and communicating with clients

Utilizing document management systems for file organization and case management

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal or in a related legal support role (3+ years)

Proficiency in project management

Familiarity with Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning law is preferred

Strong clerical and administrative skills

Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

Experience providing executive administrative support is preferred

Well organized and able to multi-task and work independently

Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred. Paralegal certificate preferred

Flexible schedule and the ability to work additional hours/weekends as necessary

Pay commensurate with experience. May exceed posted range depending on qualifications and experience
