Join us as a Barclays Assistant VP - Global Markets. In this role, you will be a junior salesperson in the Chicago office working with the High Grade Credit business. This is an exciting opportunity to assist with the day to day functions of the HG sales team, while training to become a full sales person with direct client coverage. The Credit business is a high speed environment, where by nature of the role and market, participants are forced to make quick decisions on imperfect information on a daily basis. You will develop and maintain relationships between Barclays and our largest clients to generate new business and help grow strategic initiatives within the bank. This role is regulated by FINRA.Purpose of the roleTo develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets.AccountabilitiesDevelopment and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.Liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.Negotiation of terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions.Assistant Vice President ExpectationsConsult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc) to solve problems creatively and effectively.Communicate complex information.
