Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Receiving Inspector B (1st Shift).

The hourly rate for this position is $29.00 - $35.40 per hour. The first shift hours are as follows; 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles, CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for a Receiving Inspector on first or second shift. The LA facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

Reports to the Quality Supervisor Inspection or designated authority. Responsible for performing in-process and/or incoming dimensional and visual inspections of hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and mechanical component parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies as required.

Inspects (Incoming and/or in-process) aerospace precision machined components and/or assemblies visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and supplier/customer requirements. Other duties and/or responsibilities may be performed as part of cross-training or employee development plan.Responsible for review and acceptance of paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product.Responsible to produce necessary manual or computer-generated inspection reports to accept or reject products.Inspection involves using precision measurement equipment such as, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs, thread ring gages, thread gages, surface plates, spring tester, optical comparator, surface plate, and basic CMM (Zeiss).Completes data processing move transactions as required.Possesses understanding of geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements per ASME Y14.5.Possesses basic knowledge of AQL sampling selection per internal procedures or ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 or as directed by customers.Possesses basic knowledge of first article inspection reports per AS9102.Computer Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), internet, etc

Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited institution.Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical inspection of aerospace products.Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered.Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge or experience inspecting various types of materials (e.g., aluminum, alloy, titanium, stainless steel, etc.).Knowledge or experience inspecting aerospace products with coatings (e.g., anodizing, cadmium plating, chromium plating, nickel plating, zinc plating, passivation, etc.).College or ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification a plus.Experience working in FAA environment. Basic knowledge of DFAR and Nadcap requirements.
