The Senior Information Technology Business Partner (ITBP) serves as the liaison between assigned business units and the subject matter experts (SMEs) and leaders within the Information Technology Department. This role will directly contribute to the IT Team's mission to deliver competitive information technology services that satisfy emerging Burns & McDonnell business needs. The ITBP will operate as the key IT point of contact with business unit Executives, Department Managers, and Project Managers, developing and maintaining strong relationships both within their business areas and the IT organization. This role will keep up to date with business strategy, objectives, and needs as well as current and future IT technology trends. The ITBP understands and aligns with IT service strategies and roadmaps that support our business objectives.

Job DutiesEstablish and maintain relationships with business unit Executives, Directors, Department Managers, and Project Managers.Establish and maintain relationships with all IT Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).Collaborate with business unit leadership to develop and execute strategic technology roadmaps to meet business goals.Partner with IT service providers to obtain a working knowledge of all IT services, processes, and policies and ensure business units can maximize their use.Leverage IT processes and IT Service ownership to facilitate escalations that result in building closer relationships between IT and business leaders.Understand business unit challenges and needs and work with IT for the team's recommendation or development of effective technology solutions.Work with IT and the business areas to identify and evaluate alternative solutions and services for required IT services not currently offered by the Burns & McDonnell IT Department.Build relationships that result in visibility to new investment opportunities for technology and services that satisfy emerging business needs.Collaborate with other Corporate Services teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or applicable years of experienceMinimum of 8 years' experience working in a technology-related fieldAbility to bring teams together to connect technology solutions to business needsAbility to build strong relationships and facilitate excellent customer serviceA self-starter with strong project management and organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly translate complex informationRobust collaboration and leadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong ability to ascertain customer concerns and bridge those concerns with SMEs to solve them together
