A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals.Scope of the Position:The Purchasing Coordinator is directly responsible for coordinating all requisitions into purchase orders, ensuring the requisitions and purchase orders match the quotes, sending out all parts needing repair, working directly with Purchasing Manager on all issues that arise, source new suppliers, process and update production orders and all other items listed in job duties below. The Purchasing Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining and creating new relationships with suppliers. Inputting data and purchase orders into Maximo and CMS and ensuring the purchase orders are fulfilled as needed.Responsibilities:Coordinate all spot buy requisitions within Maximo and CMS.Process all spot buy emergency orders in a timely fashion to ensure product is expedited.Process spot buy orders for other Ventra Ionia locations as needed.Compare requisitions to quotes ensuring cost and product are correct.Identify discrepancies between shipments to orders and take action as needed.Work directly with suppliers on cost savings opportunities.Source new suppliers as needed.Send out parts needing repair to respective vendors.Generate POs for capital projects and ensure capitol project tracking forms are followed.Work directly with Purchasing Manager to uphold all department goals.Have the ability to learn and use CMS and Maximo programs.Process and update production purchase orders.Coordinate production purchase orders costs with corporate purchasing and corporate sale.Reconcile month end invoices with purchase orders that do not match.Assist with crib reorders as needed for vacations.Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments or conduct negotiations as necessary.The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) as stated in CQAM.00001 Corporate Quality Manual.Qualifications:

High School Diploma;Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage finances allocated to the supply of materials while operating within a budget.Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.Excellent teamwork and team building skills.Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.Strong computer skills with high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.Good interpersonal skills.Mathematical aptitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
