ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Under the direction of the Director of Warehouse and Salvage, th Outlet Store Manager manages all aspects of the Warehouse Special Operations team and the Outlet Store operations including safety and loss control. The Outlet Store Manager is expected to successfully deliver financial performance, develop and supervise employees, and implement best practices to enhance the operations of the store.

Oversee store's operation; direct activities of store personnel including volunteers, ensure that all sales transactions are reported accuratelyTrain, coach and provide feedback to help staff strengthen and develop skillsEnsure store staff follows policies and proceduresActively recruit, hire and schedule staff, conduct performance evaluations, administer discipline, document and communicate performance and behavioral concernsEvaluate the efficiency and productivity of staff by establishing performance standards and objectivesOversee tasks related to the appearance, cleanliness and presentation of the outlet store, production area, building exterior and parking lotAssist in managing the maintenance of equipment, machinery and facilitiesOversee safety and loss prevention programs, handle loss control concerns, and ensure the operation of security and safety systemsAssist in developing business plan, manage store's expenses and oversee budgetMaximize the store's financial performance and achieve desired results; drive operational improvementsMaintain quality control in Outlet storeCommunicate and document progress, concerns and problems to the Director of Warehouse & SalvageCoordinate shipments to designated retail stores to ensure that donated goods arrive in a timely mannerCommunicate the organization's mission, vision, values and promote diversityEstablish work schedules, monitor and track employee attendanceCreate production schedules to meet department goalsPerform bank deposits and related dutiesPrepare and distribute required reportsDemonstrate leadership and positive role modeling for staffParticipate in required trainingEffectively manage time and monitor staff time to ensure that work is completedREQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalentThree years warehouse and/or retail experience with a minimum of one year management experienceUnderstanding of profit and loss, sales and/or cost managementDemonstrating basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel; and the ability to utilize other software such as payrollCPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of employmentValid drivers license, safe driving record, proof of insurance and reliable transportationCertification as a forklift operator or ability to obtain certification within 6 monthsAbility to be consistently at work and on time on scheduled work daysAbility to communicate effectively through verbal and written messagesAbility to complete tasks on time or communicate issues / problems with the appropriate personInteracting with people in a manner which enhances their dignity, privacy and confidentialityDemonstrating sensitivity and the ability to communicate with a diverse population
