Population Health Analyst
to perform business and data analysis to support both business operations and behavioral health care clinical functions.POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as the Population Health Analyst for the agency, providing support to the Business Operations Manager, senior leadership team, and clinical staff. Performs business and data analysis to support both business operations and behavioral health care clinical functions. Extracts data from various databases and other data sources to create datasets for analysis. Creates annual reports for specific grant-funded programs to maintain funding and improve service delivery. Uses data driven approaches to provide business intelligence to support decision making. Provides not only data, but graphical representations, observations, conclusions, and insights (where appropriate). Responsible for implementing population health management reports and dashboards. Where appropriate, assists and monitors quality improvement projects.POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Full-time position at 40 hours per weekMINIMUM QUALIFACTION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; such as Biomedical Informatics, Business Analytics, Public Health, Social Work, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Healthcare Administration. Experience extracting data from database systems, manipulating/summarizing data, and performing data analysis. Experience creating informative and effective data reports and graphs. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its data functions.ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Experience with SQL. Experience in healthcare or Electronic Health Records systems. Experience performing population health analysis. Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience with R, Python, or similar coding language.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides technical support in the execution of GCBHS's population health strategy through the development of data pipelines, quality measures, reports, and dashboardsAssists with preparation of comprehensive written reports through presentations of charts and tables based on research and analysis of dataMonitor trends across various sub-populations to rapidly identify gaps between individuals' needs and organizational program offeringsServes as subject matter expert for client survey process, population health measures, quality measures, and quality improvement initiatives related to population healthAudits collected client survey data for correctness and completeness. Promptly works to address inconsistenciesCommunicate complex analytical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholdersMonitor and evaluate the accuracy, precision, and effectiveness of new or existing quality improvement initiatives and make analytical adjustments as requiredDevelop and report on quality measures as needed for grants, value-based projects, or contractsAssess quality metrics and develop strategies to analyze and enhance the quality of care provided and reportedAssist with the maintenance of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting functions for clinical leadershipBuild and maintain report automation capabilities as neededStay abreast to industry trends and best practices in population health management while continuously refining enhancements to existing data infrastructure to support population health analytics
