Description

As a Quality Inspector, your responsibilities include inspecting and testing materials, parts, and products to ensure quality and durability, while also ensuring that production processes comply with standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesInspection: Perform visual and physical inspections of components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.Testing: Conduct functional and performance testing on products and systems. Use precision measurement instruments and testing equipment to verify product quality.Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection records and reports, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.Issue Resolution: Identify and document defects and discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address and resolve quality issues. Follow up on corrective actions and preventive measures.Process Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of inspection procedures and best practices. Provide feedback on process improvements and quality enhancements.Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company quality policies. Conduct inspections and tests according to established procedures and guidelines.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in quality inspection or a related field is a plus.Experience: 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role, with experience in inspecting complex or high-precision products.Technical Skills: Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing inspections and documenting findings.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, document, and address quality issues.Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and report findings clearly.Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 4+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in aerospace or high-tech industries.Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced inspection techniques and tools. Experience with specialized inspection procedures for aerospace or space technology components.Certifications: Relevant certifications in quality inspection or quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Six Sigma) are a plus.Industry Experience: Familiarity with aerospace or space technology sectors, including understanding of quality requirements for complex and mission-critical systems.Innovation: Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices in inspection processes.ITAR Requirements:
