PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.

Job Responsibilities:

- Design and implement custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to extend functionality in SharePoint Online. Create utilities using JavaScript and related technologies (Typescript, Node.js) to support custom business requirements.

- Develop and customize modern SharePoint sites using front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful services.

- Assist in upgrading legacy SharePoint 2016 apps to SPFx within SharePoint Online.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional prototypes and final solutions.

-Perform thorough testing, code review, and error validation prior to production deployment.

-Utilize PowerShell for administrative tasks, automation, and managing SharePoint environments.

-Participate in Agile planning, documentation, and development sprints.

-Use Azure DevOps for version control and work tracking.

-Develop and maintain comprehensive technical guides and provide end-user training.

-Stay informed about the latest SharePoint features and trends and recommend ways to integrate Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI) to improve workflows and data visualization within SharePoint solutions.

Job Requirements:

-Minimum 1 year of experience developing solutions with SPFx, or 5+ years of programming experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, RESTful APIs, and SharePoint.

-Basic working knowledge of .NET development and SQL Server for back-end integration and data management.

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or Associate's Degree with 2 additional years of experience).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices.

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for code repositories and work tracking.

- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) is a plus.

- Active Secret Clearance required.

- CompTIA Security+ Certification required.

-Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI) is advantageous.
