The hiring range for this opportunity is $22.55 to $28.25 hourly along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department.This role will act as key support to the various functions of the HR Ops team including payroll, benefits, leave administration, employee lifecycle, etc.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

•Learn, understand, and support the various activities of the payroll, benefits, and recruitment function and provide backup and support to the members of each team as assigned.

•Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll activities such as year-end tax filing, open enrollment, retirement (401k/ESOP), employment verifications, etc.

•Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, employee databases, processing HR documents, document sends, and compiling reports while maintaining confidentiality.

•Administer the employee leave process, including working closely with our leave partner, managers, and employees to ensure that leaves are properly administered.Includes collecting applicable documentation, maintaining communication with leave administrators, working with payroll and benefit teams to ensure correct coordination of benefits and pay.

•Collaborate with other HR team members to execute key HR initiatives and projects.

•Act as a key point of contact for HR related queries from employees, managers, and external partners.

•Order supplies such as office supplies, kitchen supplies, compliance materials, etc.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

•Provide administrative support as assigned including distributing mail, answering phones, data entry, etc.Maintain databases, network files, programmatic files, etc.

•Prepares and sends correspondence as requested.

•Maintains a current understanding of equal employment opportunities, discrimination laws, and affirmative action.

•Maintains a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations that may be specific to your job duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

•2 years of experience in Human Resources, required.

•HR Generalist experience, preferred.

•Understanding of general HR policies and procedures.

•Knowledge of employment & labor laws, including CA specific laws.

•Familiarity with HRIS Systems, UKG/UltiPro preferred.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
