5B is a 32 bed med-surg unit with a concentration on medical patients with some surgical overflow. Average age of patients is around 75 but can be as young as 18.Types of patients cared for on 5B are those with chronic health issues such as COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, sickle cell, kidney failure, etc. But also those with acute issues such as pneumonia, cellulitis, UTI, stroke etc. We also care for patients on inpatient hospice.Patient Ratio: 1:5-6IN STATE LICENSE / REQUIRED CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUBCOVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions OnlyUnit : 5B Medical Surgical
