Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in guiding the company's financial health and strategic direction. This executive position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and business strategy. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a senior financial role within the home improvement industry and a proven track record of success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct thorough financial forecasting and budgeting to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Accounting and Financial Management: Oversee the accounting department to ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP). Manage cash flow and treasury functions effectively. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze business finances and build comprehensive reports.
  • Project Funding Management: Manage project funding, including invoicing customers and contractors.
  • Expense Management: Maintain high organization skills in expense management and meticulous auditing.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate ordering material and project timelines to ensure timely funding.
  • Payroll and Taxes: Manage payroll using ADP or a similar system and coordinate tax filings with the company accountant.

Qualifications:
  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in accounting/finance or a Master's of Science in Finance (MSF).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a senior financial role within the home improvement industry.
  • Experience with stage funding and construction project inspections.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and make sound business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • A deep understanding of financial management principles and industry best practices.
