Senior Structural Engineer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Annapolis, MD office.

Responsibilities
- Provide lead structural engineering and project engineering responsibilities on design projects
- Prepare detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs
- Perform engineering deign calculations
- Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and preparation of contract bid documents
- Lead a team of structural engineers on design projects
- Perform field inspections to evaluate existing conditions, document findings, and record measurements in the field
- Perform QA/QC duties for projects
- Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers
- Assist with preparation of task proposals
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering License
- A minimum of ten years of experience in transportation projects with a focus on bridge design (preferred experience in the Mid-Atlantic Region)
- Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State codes
- Experience with perform bridge load ratings
- Ability to work effectively as part of a design team and manage small design groups and projects
- Must be detail and goal-oriented, a self-starter and proficient in both verbal and written communication
- Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD
- Ability to develop proposals, schedules and manage tasks independently
Benefits
Salary Range- $135,000-$175,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
