The Impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Enterprise Product and Platform Engineering domain means you will be part of a diverse and collaborative team with critical responsibilities to protect the financial services industry and serve our clients, both internally and externally. As an Associate Director in IT, you will be looked at as a leader in the IT Asset Management team playing a critical role in modernizing how we manage our asset inventory in the CMBD, implementing and managing the data model to support it, and the relationships between them. This role provides a unique growth opportunity to use your experience, communication, and problem-solving skills to transform and advance some of our most critical support functions. You and your team will drive the governance of ITAM as well as bringing to bear newer discovery processes to ensure the most accurate controls are in place.

The Associate Director also creates, maintains, and tracks KPI's and identifies controls to measure effectiveness of our CMDB and adherence to policies and procedures and creates reports to senior management team to provide transparency.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
As an Associate Director in IT, you will be a strategic subject matter expert and leader in the IT Asset Management team, playing a crucial in modernizing how we manage our configuration management database, the inventory of our assets, the data model around it, and all the relationships among those systems. This role provides a unique growth opportunity to use your experience, communication, and problem-solving skills to transform and advance some of our most critical support functions. You and your teammates will drive the governance of ITAM and our CMDB as well as bringing to bear newer discovery processes to ensure the most accurate controls are in place.   • Lead our CMDB team, including the responsibilities to manage staff
  • Drive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data quality and coverage efforts
  • Manage the modernization of the ITAM process that builds on an industry standard platform, to gain more insights into relationships and life cycle management, that more effectively help DTCC manage risk
  • Collaborate with all engineering teams ensuring they are aware of ITAM capabilities and their responsibilities for their data in the CMDB
  • Align with process, operations, and those responsible for life cycle management of their components to ensure completeness and alignment with upstream and downstream impacts
  • Establish and maintain documentation of policies, procedures, job aids, and reports
  • Ensure process efficiency by implementing the key performance indicators; suggest improvements to the process continuously
  • Involvement in audit and regulatory reviews
  • Maintain strong operational controls around ITAM

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

  • Ability to meet with clients, present to senior management and provide updates to regulators / supervisors
  • Ability to work across teams to create partnerships that achieve organization goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills are key to be successful in this role
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including IT delivery, operations, service management and/or support
  • Proven track record of implementing and/or transforming ITAM functions
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure design standards for modular, secure, and resilient applications to drive root cause analysis across the breadth of the enterprise
  • Deep understanding of IT Asset Management principles, configuration management, and ITIL best practices
  • Strong knowledge of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its application in the IT Asset Management space
  • Strong analytical skills to support independent and effective decisions
  • Experience initiating Continuous Improvement Projects

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC's business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC's mission to support the financial markets.
