Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, technically savvy, and self-starting Compensation Analyst to be a key contributor to our Total Rewards Team. This role will serve as the primary support in the Compensation area, playing an integral part in the implementation, and administration of compensation policies and programs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable collaborating across HR teams, Talent Acquisition, and other departments to ensure effective, data-driven compensation decisions.

Internal equity will be reviewed and considered to determine a final offer. For this position, the salary range is $94,875 to $103,500.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable collaborating across HR teams, Talent Acquisition, and other departments to ensure effective, data-driven compensation decisions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of annual compensation planning, including the development and maintenance of compensation plans and performance-based pay initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day compensation questions from HR Partners and Talent Acquisition, providing guidance on compensation practices and policies.
- Collaborate with HR Partners and Talent Acquisition to evaluate and price new and existing roles, ensuring consistency and competitiveness across departments.
- Help drive compensation projects, ensuring alignment with NRDC's goals, market standards, and equity principles.
- Maintain and update compensation structures for NRDC international offices, serving as the primary point contact for brokers, survey partners, and international compensation related inquiries.
- Support the update and maintenance of compensation ranges and equity guidelines.
- Conduct ad hoc and in-depth compensation analyses to ensure compliance with compensation programs and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Lead the technical implementation and ongoing maintenance of PayScale and/or PayFactors to ensure seamless integration and data accuracy.
- Manage the participation in and submission of third-party salary surveys to ensure NRDC remains competitive in the market.
- Monitor and maintain compensation-related data integrity in systems such as PayScale/PayFactors, Ceridian Dayforce, and Excel models.
- Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and accurately reflect the responsibilities and requirements of each position through regular monitoring and collaboration with HR teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 4-7 years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR functions, with a strong focus on compensation program development and administration.
- Hands-on experience with compensation software such as PayScale, PayFactors, or similar tools is essential.
- Experience managing international compensation programs, brokers and compensation survey partners.
- Proven ability to implement compensation software solutions and maintain data accuracy across multiple platforms.
Technical Skills, Abilities, Competencies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, data modeling) for compensation analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HRIS systems and compensation management tools and the ability to support integration and data accuracy. Specific knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce and Payscale is desired.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining compensation concepts to non-experts and collaborating with HR, Talent Acquisition, and management.

- High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in handling sensitive compensation data.
