The Position
We are seeking a senior Institutional Sales Professional responsible for promoting PGIM Fixed Income's range of traditional and alternative strategies with institutional allocators in the Western US. The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of the Firm's investment capabilities, with responsibility for fostering relationships with potential institutional clients in the Mountains & West region of the US. We anticipate that the successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of global fixed income and credit investment strategies, expert product presentation skills, a strong network of institutional investors in the Western US, and a sophisticated solutions-oriented sales process.
Role and Responsibilities
• Develop superior knowledge of PGIM Fixed Income's investment strategies and product set.
• Proactively undertaking investor outreach, generating new leads and maintaining a high level of engagement with investors across a number of states in the Western US (Colorado and West, inclusive of Dakotas, not including Texas).
• Take ownership of the sales process from prospecting to closing.
• Work closely with investment, consultant relations, and client service teams to communicate investment strategies and performance details internally and externally.
• Translate complex position and performance information into clear, succinct, and digestible material for potential investors.
• Partner with distribution leadership on strategic direction of the institutional team, product development opportunities, firm branding, positioning, and communications.
The Candidate Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities
• 15-20 years or more of relevant experience in financial services and investment management sales. Fixed income and/or credit experience is required.
• Demonstrated track record of sales success and achievement of sales goals across institutional investor channels in the Western US.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and manage a pipeline of prospects.
• Strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of fixed income and general markets.
• Outstanding writing skills, ability to communicate product-level details in a clear and sophisticated manner.
• Strong communication skills required, as well as ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with the ability to function with a very high degree of independence in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to examine investment data with a critical eye in order to accurately report developments to investors
• Demonstrated loyalty, tenure, and career progression in prior role.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented global environment.
• Strong willingness to travel.
Education and Credentials
• Strong academic credentials. An undergraduate degree is required, and an advanced degree would be a plus.
