We are a family and elder law firm with 15 locations in North and South Carolina. We are currently looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented Family Law Attorney to join our team in Greenville, SC.
You must be a positive person and a team player. If you see the glass as being half full, you are definitely the type of person we are looking for. Our law firm is a close-knit team.
We are seeking someone detail-oriented and willing to go the extra mile. In our law practice, getting it done right the first time for clients is very important and we need our entire team to work with this important goal in mind.
Must be a team player. You will be working with other attorneys and staff and both you and our other staff members are accountable to each other.
The candidate should have the ability to be able to talk to people in a manner that is polite, educated, and puts them at ease. You need to have compassion when dealing with clients.
At times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem solve and come up with workable solutions.
Compensation is negotiable if you have significant family law experience. It is also subject to reviews, raises, and bonuses, which are based on job performance. If we succeed, you will, too! You will be part of a team that is rewarded for their hard work.

Responsibilities
• Help effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
• Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and marital settlement agreements, handle the division of marital assets, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
• Attend court proceedings as needed to ensure effective representation of clients
• Collaborate with Managing Attorney to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
• Consult with potential clients to ascertain their needs and decide on the next steps
• Engage in matter management to ensure timely progress in all cases
• Confirm all work is consistently quality-reviewed for case law and written content/clarity
• Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
• Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date
• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
Qualifications
• At least 4 years of family law experience, and SC Law License
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
