Kennedy Jenks is seeking a collaborative Wastewater Process Lead Engineer to join our growing Wastewater Infrastructure team in Southern California and support projects company wide. This role can be based out of any of our Southern California locations including Irvine, Murrieta, Oxnard, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga or San Diego. The Wastewater Process Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring the wastewater treatment processes are efficient, compliant with regulations and environmentally responsible.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will function as the technical expert focusing on wastewater process projects across both California and the organization. This position will apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis for solution development, effectively communicate with all stakeholders and levels, and will manage projects focused on wastewater process.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $150,000 to $181,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.

- This position will be responsible for projects focused on detailed design and project management of small to large civil infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, wastewater, sanitary sewer collection systems, pump stations and wastewater treatment processes and plants.
- Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical and biological treatment systems, to maximize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
- Manage projects from the planning phase through construction
- Supporting business development and helping to identify and develop new water/wastewater pursuits. Collaborate with our existing contacts in the wastewater industry to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- 7+ years of progressive relevant wastewater experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree strongly preferred
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Wastewater process experience with strong technical knowledge of the water/wastewater industry
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients
- Experience with business development and sales
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Design-Build experience a plus but not required
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Some travel within Southern California to project sites, for client visits/meetings and to other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary.
