Summary

This person is responsible for supporting the Client, Sales & Customer Service teams and enterprise-wide strategic priorities. Primarily onboard new clients and new investments for existing clients in Northern Trust Asset Management, as well as Maintain existing clients through Amendments to Agreements and facilitate Offboarding client events through operational excellence. Fast and accurate processing and data integrity across the Client, Account & Product databases. First operational point of contact for all client communications, working directly with Client Servicing to obtain adequate information for a seamless onboarding, setting clear expectations for partners and clients and following up with key status reports in a timely manner. Maintain global practice and change management. Looks across all business unit and corporate strategic initiatives to understand how they link together in a holistic roadmap.

Major Duties
  • Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
  • May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
  • More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
  • Delivers a work product that requires less revision
  • Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions


Experience and Qualifications
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ideal candidate is savvy in a myriad of Northern Trust applications including but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, MS Teams, SharePoint, BPM, Appian/DSM
  • Knowledge of AML/KYC procedures and legal document review is a plus
