Environmental Project Manager - Remediation

The role of the Environmental Remediation Project Manager is to support our local environmental remediation team based out of Alpharetta, Georgia. This position will support project management and provide technical support for groundwater and soil remediation projects across multiple industries. The position requires an independent individual with solid problem solving and communication skills, and environmental remediation experience. Project management experience and professional licensure (e.g. PE, PG) are preferred.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Work with project managers and senior project staff in producing high-quality work products for our clients.
• Collect, and interpret data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies

and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
• Project management responsibilities may include developing proposals; managing project budgets and schedules; coordinating with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal project staff; and performing and overseeing project technical work.
• Design and lead soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations and compile, evaluate, analyze, and present/reporting subsurface investigation data.
• Contribute to design and optimization of environmental remediation systems and strategies.
• Review, communicate, and manage the project health and safety plan and other technical documents so that project personnel, client and subcontractors are aware of risks and hazards, and incidents are prevented.
• Coordination and oversight of subcontractors, including health and safety management.
• Fieldwork, including local travel, and some regional travel, when necessary.
• Mentoring and/or supervising team members (e.g. engineer or geologists in training).

Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Understanding of engineering plans and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet strict project deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with both clients and project team members.
• Ability to travel regionally and locally as required for proposal and project needs (up to 30%).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pass a background security check and drug screen.
• Valid US driver's license and good driving record.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) License preferred, or ability to obtain within first year of employment.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, remediation program management or related applicable duties and responsibilities outlined above
• 40-Hr HAZWOPER training preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Position will primarily work in an office setting but will require field work and field site visits. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Extended hours and schedules may be necessary to fit project demands.
