POSITION: Vice President of Ambulatory Finance
SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Ambulatory Finance performs all duties necessary to assist the Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services and works closely with the Senior Vice President/CFO and Vice President of Revenue Cycle. Duties include review of the physician practice financial statements, operating budgets, and physician compensation plans. Also provides special analytical reports as required and financial decision support to Administration and the Physician Services Division. Provides direct and indirect financial matter supervision, as appropriate, of the administrative and operational components of the Ambulatory Division. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of the health system. RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Participates in development of strategic system initiatives, leading the financial aspects of Ambulatory projects.
*Oversight of Ambulatory Services budget, monthly review process, analysis of financial statements, reporting of financial results to senior leaders
*Oversight of provider contracting and compensation, ensures adherence to contracts and relevant laws and regulations
*Manages Ambulatory Finance and Ambulatory Revenue Cycle support which has dual reporting to Vice President, Revenue Cycle.
*Works closely with the Provider Enrollment Department of the system to negotiate contracts with payors and ensure all providers are enrolled with appropriate payors.
*Works closely with the VP of Revenue Cycle on Ambulatory and Hospital revenue cycle matters including the System Central Business Office
*Creates proformas for new practices or initiatives, negotiates contracts with vendors, and ensures compliance with policies and validity of employee expense reimbursement
*Validates accuracy, timing, and coding of payments made to providers and vendors as indicated in applicable contracts
*Adheres to the system and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
*Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
*Performs all duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
*Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs)
*Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time
*Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
*Performs other similar duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
*Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited institution required
OTHER INFORMATION:
*Master's Degree and 2-3 years physician practice leadership experience as well as experience with analyzing and negotiating contractual agreements preferred
CORPORATE COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and TRHS' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
* Understands and adheres to TRHS' compliance standards as they appear in TRHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy, and HIPAA privacy and security.
