Senior Paralegal - Asset Management

Position Summary:
Fried Frank is seeking to add a senior paralegal to support the Asset Management group with the preparation of Form D, Blue Sky and various regulatory filings in both federal and state jurisdictions. The paralegal will interact directly with Asset Management group partners, special counsel and associates in the New York, Washington, D.C. and London offices, and will be expected to communicate directly with clients on a regular basis. The role will function as part of a team comprised of other paralegals who maintain systems to track, log and submit filings required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). Their daily responsibilities will be supervised by partners and special counsel who oversee the Asset Management group and the Blue Sky Paralegal Specialist team leader. They will administratively report to the paralegal manager of the Corporate practice.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in a legal environment and/or experience with SEC filings (ideally on Blue Sky and Regulatory Filing matters) is strongly preferred. Prior organizational experience with document management software and full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point) is required.
Skills and Abilities: Must be able to effectively work and communicate with all levels of partners, attorneys, and staff. Must be able to keep information confidential. Requires effective written and verbal communication and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments while working under pressure to meet important deadlines. Must be detail-oriented; possess strong organizational skills, and a high degree of accuracy. All positions require punctuality and regular attendance. Complies with and understands all firm operations, policies and procedures.
The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
Salary Range
$120,000-$135,000 USD

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for drafting and distributing federal Form D filings on behalf of funds for several firm clients;
- Review Blue Sky filing requests and make such filings using the NASAA EFD portal;
- Thorough review of fund offering documents and memoranda to prepare filings for attorney review before they are submitted;
- Maintaining knowledge of the SEC's EDGAR system with regard to obtaining electronic filing codes, editing company information, and handling issues that arise during the filing process;
- Keeping detailed records of all submitted filings, including all monthly, quarterly and annual renewal filings and terminations;
- Direct communication with Asset Management associates and firm clients to ensure timely submission of federa; and state filings;
- Facilitate proper record-keeping of all Firm documents on iManage, Asana and other online databases; and
- Provide in-depth analysis and instruction to attorneys and clients regarding federal and state filing requirements.
