The Role:
Partnering with Blue Owl's GP Strategic Capital group is more than just a financial transaction. We give our underlying partners access to our 50+ person post-investment team, the Business Services Platform (BSP). Based in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Menlo Park, BSP takes a customized approach to serve our partners across a variety of strategic initiatives. BSP drives growth and industry best practices, helping each of our partner firms evolve and pursue their own strategic vision.
Blue Owl Business Services Platform Analyst: Blue Owl's BSP is looking for someone with 1-2 years of work experience for a first-year Analyst Position. This Analyst will work across the various pillars dedicated to supporting the alternative asset managers in which Blue Owl has taken a stake. This is part of a two-year program in which the Analyst will gain experience across various business functions supporting asset managers representing all alternative asset classes.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be 95,000 to 105,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Responsibilities:
- Heavy Excel and PowerPoint presentation work: preparing pitch-books, marketing decks, business plans, spreadsheets and databases.
- Collecting, tracking, and analyzing data from our portfolio companies, summarizing them into useful formats, presentations, and charts.
- Monitoring and helping to maintain Client Relationships
- Management of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool inputs.
- Monitoring and cataloging industry research.
- Creating and maintaining a comprehensive service provider index for internal use.
- Aggregating organizational data and providing high-level analytics.
- Work on analytics and graphics for industry thought-leadership whitepapers.
- Work on client newsletters.
- Supporting team members with various ad-hoc projects across business functions
Qualifications:
- At a minimum, an undergraduate degree with excellent academic credentials and 1-2 years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, asset management firm, or management consult.
- Self-starting attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, strong judgment and real-time critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and a fine-tuned attention to detail.
- Superior ability to synthesize and communicate complex information into a presentable format using PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced experience using Excel.
- Strong understanding of and intellectual curiosity about private markets.
- Ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and in written form.
- Team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects.
