About the team + role
The Operational Analytics team at Robinhood is responsible for supporting the Platform Services Org by helping it scale operationally. As an Operational Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for identifying and tracking key metrics that drive Robinhood's business lines specifically focused on Fraud, Account Operations, Customer Service and Vendor Management. You'll use data to craft recommendations for new products or tooling and advise leadership on operational strategy, consult with cross-functional partners on operational needs, advise on department-level decisions, consult on workforce management, and report on the health of Robinhood's middle office operations. This role will be critical to identifying, consulting, and building the infrastructure to effectively run Robinhood's Platform Services org.

What you'll do
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood's equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

What you'll do
- Build and Identify Operational metrics for the and share with stakeholders in the form of easily digestible dashboards via technology tools such as SQL, Python and Looker
- Perform root cause analysis to identify key areas of improvement in our operational processes
- Partner with data and engineering teams build out the infrastructure to track key business metrics
- Aggregate data for incident response, regulatory inquiries, and other course-of-business happenings
- Work closely with our operations, engineering and product teams to launch, improve and scale Robinhood's products and systems
- Ensure data requirements for operations teams are met when launching new initiatives or products
- Identify and analyze data and produce digestible reports that assess performance and ultimately improve processes
- Help forecast staffing needs for growth, new processes, and new product launches
- Passion for Robinhood's products and our mission to democratize finance for all
- Strong SQL (Presto, Spark SQL, etc) skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, Finance or similar field
- 4+ years of qualifying experience in a professional data analysis capacity
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc)
- Ability to learn quickly, think critically, and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues and implement process improvements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Great communication skills and ability to democratize data through actionable insights and solutions
- Passion for working and learning in a fast-growing company
- Familiarity in one or more programming languages (ideally Python)
- Previous exposure with data pipeline applications (Airflow, GitHub, etc.)
