Summary:

The HR Business Partner provides human resources consultation and support to designated business units; defines and executes HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. Develops workforce plans in conjunction with practice leadership. Presents issues in the industry and new laws/regulations that could potentially impact the business. Leads organizational assessments that convert strategies into result-driven actions. Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers. Acts as liaison with other People Operation functions. Provides change management leadership as needed.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR programs and practices that will support the strategic growth of a business.
  • Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead core HR processes across assigned internal clients (performance calibration, compensation cycle, promotions).
  • LMA - Lead, Manage, hold Accountable.


Essential Functions:
  • Provide timely information and/or education for all levels relating to HR matters.
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
  • Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development.
  • Participate in the continual development of firm-wide HR programs, such as recruiting retention, compensation, benefits, and Learning & Development.
  • Collaborate with other HR Business Partners to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition, survey results) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to their internal client group.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to work on value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and job performance.
  • Educate team members on compensation practices, including compensation, performance feedback, performance calibration, and career transitions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently.
  • Lead management in organizational assessment and diagnosis to turn business strategies into action.


Nonessential Functions:
  • Performs other duties as assigned by People Leadership.


Supervisory Responsibilities: People Operations Managers, Generalists, and Coordinators.

Conditions:
  • Moderate overtime required throughout the year.
  • Heavy sitting for extended periods in front of a computer.
  • Travel, including overnight, may be required.
  • Minimal Hazards.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience with 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Prior HR experience in a professional services firm, ideally a mid-size firm with multiple locations and service groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially employee relations, organization development, performance management, and change management.
  • A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000
