Job Description
Invesco is seeking a Quantitative Portfolio Manager with quantitative equity portfolio management experience and development skills to join its Custom Equity team. You will work as an integral part of the portfolio management team to rebalance portfolios and contribute to ongoing development of the proprietary portfolio management platform. You contribute to drive enhancement of automation, scalability, and augment production quality of our proprietary tax-optimized equity SMA technologies. Your primary role is to contribute to successful daily management of portfolios using these systems, equity portfolio management (i.e., not research).

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Senior Quantitative Portfolio Manager, as part of the Custom Equity portfolio management team.
- Participate in rebalancing of portfolios using proprietary portfolio management platform, including optimization review and trading oversight.
- Developing enhancements and automation for proprietary portfolio management platform.
- Working with the research team to implement new investment capabilities, including participation in new tax-managed equities products.
- Manage information and data services requirements and platform programming.
- Partner successfully with internal stakeholders including IT, client service, platform and operations.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 3-7 years of work experience in quantitative (optimization-based) portfolio management or trading, preferably investment management building and operating quantitative equity portfolio management systems.
- Hands-on experience and proficiency with quantitative equity strategies and trading, ideally including long-short and factor-based strategies.
- Understanding of tax management mechanisms, ideally with experience in applying tax-management to investment strategies.
- Excellent coding skills with extensive hands-on experience in Python. Experience working in cloud-based environments (Snowflake, AWS).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including optimization techniques.
- Excellent working knowledge of econometrics and statistics including time-series analysis.
- Experience with financial databases (e.g. Compustat, DataStream, Bloomberg), optimizers (e.g. Axioma, Barra) and risk models (e.g. Axioma, Barra)
- Proven track record of independently planning, coordinating, and executing development projects.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Passion for quantitative investment management
- Results oriented, with strong emphasis on high-quality execution.
- Demonstrated ownership of quantitative research projects and initiative in developing quantitative techniques.
- Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of constituents, including researchers and portfolio managers, client portfolio managers, distribution teams, intermediaries, and clients.
- Highly motivated and determined individual able to work collaboratively across groups while staying focused on execution of the core portfolio management function.
- Team player who reliably and responsibly fulfills their area of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively in-office or in hybrid settings.
Formal Education:
- Degree in quantitative or technical field, with demonstrated academic excellence.
- Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree (Master's Degree) preferred
