Kennedy Jenks is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our team in Northern California. This role is ideal for an individual skilled in managing multiple tasks and deadlines while working with multi-disciplinary teams. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $105,000 to $170,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our team in Northern California. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Develop detailed designs, consisting of drawings, specifications, and calculations for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Manage technical tasks including planning, design, and construction support for civil infrastructure projects.
- Project Management: Support larger projects or lead smaller projects or components, coordinating with the Project Manager, team members, and sub-consultants. Ensure the timely completion of tasks and assist in managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Technical Support:Provide expert support for multi-disciplinary teams in planning and executing infrastructure projects, including pipelines, tanks/reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment facilities. Understand and apply industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Field Work: Conduct site inspections and field measurements. Engage in field activities, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Documentation and Coordination: Prepare engineering documents and contract documents, including construction specifications and plans. Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, and prepare site observation reports.
- Communication and Collaboration:Assist in preparing client presentations and maintaining client communication. Ensure compatibility with design intent by coordinating with other disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the planning, design, and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Broad understanding of municipal engineering, site development design, construction methods, and design and construction codes.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain California PE within 6 months of hire.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
