We are seeking a Director with international tax experience to join our growing International Tax practice. In this role, you will work with experienced partners and teams to advise corporate and pass-through clients across all industries on various aspects of tax accounting, tax compliance and tax research.

Qualifications:
The salary range is $130,000 - $175,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

We are seeking a Director with international tax experience to join our growing International Tax practice. In this role, you will work with experienced partners and teams to advise corporate and pass-through clients across all industries on various aspects of tax accounting, tax compliance and tax research.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Director within International Tax you will:
- Lead the US-outbound tax planning support for international operations of US-headquartered companies, including repatriation strategies, foreign tax credit optimization and local country tax planning opportunities
- Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual international ASC 740 (FAS 109/FIN 48) tax accruals, global effective tax rate calculations, and footnote disclosure
- Lead the preparation of forms 5471 for controlled foreign corporations, forms 8858 and 8865 for flow through foreign entities, forms 1120, 1065, 1120-S for U.S. companies with foreign operations, forms 1120-F for foreign corporation with U.S. trades or business/permanent establishments
- Ensure process is followed to provide supporting documentation of earnings and profits pool, PTEP and US tax basis for foreign subsidiaries and/or branches of US multinationals
- Review taxable distributions calculations, §987 gains/losses, Subpart F income, ECI, Global Intangible Low Taxed Income, CFC attribution, Section 245A Deduction, hybrid transactions, 163(j), FDII, etc.
- Oversee the preparation of Forms 1118 and 1116 for foreign tax credits and supporting documentation
- Lead the preparation of multinational clients quarterly US tax payments through analysis of international tax implications on US tax estimates.
- Lead client calls to understand critical areas of importance and apply tax technical knowledge to specific client situations
- Manage risk, resources, staffing and financial performance for multiple engagements at once including billing, collections and project budgets
- Build client relationships and demonstrate a working knowledge of client businesses
- Supervise, develop, mentor, and motivate our Associates, Senior Associates and Managers by actively participating in their advancement through on-the-job training, providing performance feedback, counseling, and fostering our team-based atmosphere
- Manage workloads and deadlines for Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers with a focus on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the project teams
- Demonstrate commitment and desired behaviors while working with others that have diverse experiences, skills and perspectives
- Conduct day-to-day management of accounts to ensure delivery of timely and accurate work product
- Regularly supports business development efforts. Sees opportunities for add on work, thought leadership, new client pitches, and optimizing the compliance process

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law (J.D/L.L.M.)
- Licensed CPA or Licensed Attorney
- 5 + years' experience providing International Tax planning experience required, preferably in professional services (Big 4 experience, or other consulting experience)
- Prior proven experience leading others while managing multiple work streams
- Demonstrated success as a trusted tax and business advisor: building relationships, identifying and addressing client needs, and delivering high quality deliverables
- Passion for training and mentoring staff
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence clients
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Advanced user of all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Power BI)
- Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines
- High motivation to learn and grow and actively identifies trends and new ideas for enhancing solutions and approaches
- Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in written documentation of tax issues and analysis (e.g., drafting of technical memoranda, step-plans, tax opinion letters, etc.)
