We are looking for an accountable and driven Business Analyst to join Global Wealth Management Technology (GWMT) - where we develop and modernize the technology that powers the Global Wealth Management business lines. GWMT consists of departments with high performing agile teams working closely together to deliver, support, and maintain the many applications and ecosystems within Global Wealth.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Communicate and Align with Stakeholders: Effectively communicate with business functions, development, and quality assurance teams to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Gather and Document Business Requirements: Lead and support the understanding and documenting of business needs through Agile methods such as user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of done, etc.
  • Understand and Build Workflows: Work to understand complex business processes and system flows to help build workflows supporting target operating model execution.
  • Support Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and perform analysis on financial data sets to support decision-making.
  • Drive Quality: Have a keen attention to detail to enable collaboration with development and quality assurance teams to ensure high quality of systems being deployed.
  • Drive Accountability: Ensure your deliverables are completed on time and with quality, while helping drive execution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Challenge the Status Quo: Propose solutions and alternatives to internal and external stakeholders to enable the most effective process and requirement to be implemented.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 2+ years of practical business analysis experience within a financial services firm, working on medium to large-scale projects.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to convey information in written (business requirements) and verbal form and collaborate with multiple teams.
  • Proficiency in Workflow Mapping: Ability to understand complex business workflows and document using workflow tools (MS Visio).
  • Basic Understanding of Wealth Business and Data: Knowledge of how the Asset Management and Wealth Management business operates and key concepts, such as:
    • Master Data Management (Security, Client, Position, Transaction, etc.)
    • Client Lifecycle Management (Onboarding, Servicing, etc.)
    • Client Reporting & Portal
    • Investment Performance & Benchmarking
    • Portfolio Management (Asset Allocation, Risk Management, Rebalancing, etc.)
    • Trading Lifecycle (Order Management, Execution, Settlements, etc.)
    • Investment Operations (Reconciliation, Trade Support, Account Servicing, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis: Ability to understand data models and structures, query databases (SQL), analyze, map, and summarize large data sets to support decision-making.
  • Flexibility and Accountability: Ability to prioritize and work across multiple initiatives as a team member to deliver on assigned tasks on-time and with quality.
  • Agile Experience: A solid understanding and demonstrated ability to deliver on projects and products in an Agile manner (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Key Tools an Asset: Tools to productively deliver such as:
    • Workflow Mapping (ex. Microsoft Visio)
    • API Querying Tools (ex. Postman)
    • Database (ex. SQL/SMSS)
    • Productivity Tools (ex. MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Collaboration (ex. JIRA / Confluence)
