The Swift Group is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our dynamic team of seven, working within a Lean Agile framework. As a key member of our development team, you will be actively involved in scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions, contributing to both Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product integration and custom development projects. This candidate's role will involve ensuring timely completion of tasks, coordinating effectively with team members, and providing problem resolution and task clarification. This position is located onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Lean Agile scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions.
  • Engage in COTS product integration and development efforts.
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Consult and coordinate for problem resolution, task scheduling, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team of staff and contractors.
  • Understand and work within cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
  • Coordinate with security, operations, engineering, and testing teams for system information and technical support.
  • Create, manage, and update Jira tickets.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems.
  • Document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch updates.
  • Perform unit testing and code reviews of your software.

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
  • Proven ability to translate customer and system requirements into effective design.
  • Experience designing system interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience developing Single Page Applications with HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 2+.
  • Proficiency in developing RESTful web services using Java 8+ or other technologies such as Spring Framework 4+ or Spring Security 4+.
  • Experience with non-relational database systems like DynamoDB.
  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting Internet and Web-related protocols and technologies, including Tomcat, Nodejs, Web Services, or SSL.
  • Hands-on experience with developing JUnit and Jasmine tests.
  • Familiarity with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.
  • Recent experience with Lean Agile methodology is preferred.
  • Experience using ErDoS for reporting sprint MVI burn-up and top-line charts, as well as MVI features and user stories is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CFS, FSS, TagIt, KnoMAD, and TagIt digest is desirable.
  • BA/BS Degree or five or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
