Senior Finance Manager

This Global Treasury position, reporting to the VP of Global Capital Management & Rating Agencies, will be a key member of the team focused on managing Chubb's worldwide capital and maintaining rating agency relationships. This candidate will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other finance colleagues, divisional leadership, and functional staff to direct, develop and maintain data, analysis and strategy needed to manage capital and rating agency activities for Chubb and its operating segments and major rated subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

Capital Management
  • Maintain and update legal entity projection models for key subsidiaries
  • Maintain and update projections of key subsidiaries' dividend capacity as well as holding company liquidity
  • Maintain inventory of models, data, and documentation to support projections
  • Monitor capital adequacy projections of non-key subs and make recommendations
  • Develop capital management enhancement and optimization strategies
  • Design and coordinate preparation of reports and analysis on capital adequacy for communication to various internal and external audiences (rating agencies, banks, investors, Finance Committee, senior management, etc.)

Rating Agency Management
  • Assist in the coordination/ review of presentations for annual rating agency meetings
  • Research and keep current with industry and rating agency trends/hot topics
  • Day-to-day rating agency relationship management
  • Review and coordinate with legal entities within Chubb on rating agency reports, data requests, press releases, etc.
  • Assist on internal requests for new financial strength ratings

Other
  • Assist Corporate Development unit on M&A transactions
  • Work with ERM unit on key risk metrics and special projects (e.g. ORSA, Eurozone, Group Sup, etc.)
  • Assist with Chubb's foreign exchange monitoring/actions
  • Work on other special Treasury projects/tasks as needed (e.g. ROE and MN cost of capital analyses, T-listing strategy, etc.)


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Degree in finance or accounting with 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of GAAP & SAP and associated financial statements.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel accustomed to handling large amounts of financial data
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of rating agency processes and criteria
