What’s unique about this role?

This mid-level developer will utilize the ServiceNow platform to develop and configure functionality that enables Lighthouse employees and clients, processes, and systems to operate faster, more efficiently, and with greater operational intelligence. You will collaborate with your developer and engineering peers, along with the Product Management team to find innovative solutions to technical and business-related problems. You will proactively look for ways to improve and mature our use of the ServiceNow platform, and you will aggressively work to reduce technical debt. As a member of the team, people will expect you to be accountable and reliable, and will look to you for technical excellence. You will possess a strong knowledge of ServiceNow best practices, general coding best practices, and UI/UX best practices. As an experienced solutions creator and problem-solver, you will be expected to help gather requirements, groom stories, features, and epics, take ownership of the architecture, design, and implementation of the system, and resolve defects, incidents, and bugs. You will be seen as a “go-to” person for the application, and will be trusted to get the job done on schedule and with exceptional quality. 

 

 

What will this person do?

  • Design, architect, and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform to fulfill user requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as a member of the on-call rotation, including occasional after-hours and weekend/holiday support
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior colleagues, and build relationships with business stakeholders and the Product Management team
  • Assist with platform upgrades and help maintain the overall health of the platform
  • Advocate for and champion the use of ServiceNow as a go-to solution for business needs
  • Build and maintain robust integrations with other systems and tools to support Lighthouse business objectives
  • Work with your peers in a self-organizing manner as part of an Agile scrum team
  • Aggressively look for ways to reduce technical debt, introduce best practices, and champion high-quality user experiences within the platform
  • Work collaboratively with other developers and engineers, as well as the Product Management team to design elegant, modern, efficient, and high-quality solutions that address business needs

Bring your passion and together we will shine. It would also be great if you have the following:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and administering one or more ServiceNow instances
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and Certified Administrator on current releases
  • Extensive JavaScript experience, and strong knowledge of Angular JS and ReactJS
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • A solid and demonstrable understanding of UI/UX theory and design
  • Extensive experience working with business users to understand requirements and implement technical solutions
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining technical and architectural documentation
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining service portals and Workspaces
  • Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow’s Application Studio and the Service Portal
  • Platform implementation experience preferred 
  • Ability to solve problems, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with customer service focus
  • Exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrate organization and self-starting/independence
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote team environment
  • In-depth understanding of the Agile methodology and proven experience gathering requirements and grooming stories, features, and epics

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

The expected pay for this role will range from $95,500 to $128,500 per year. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
