About the Role:
As Associate Director - Research & Analysis, you will be responsible for market analysis and coverage of the Methanol and Methanol derivative markets across the North and South America region. In cooperation with the global methanol team, you will conduct regular reviews of the long-term supply/demand balances used in published world analyses in order to meet the requirements of the Chemical Market Analytics Business Consulting Group. Your market analysis and coverage will support all Chemical Market Analytics Market Advisory Services dedicated to these important markets. This is a hybrid role based in Houston. You will report to the Vice President - Research & Analysis.

Your market analysis and coverage will support all Chemical Market Analytics Market Advisory Services dedicated to these important markets. This is a hybrid role based in Houston. You will report to the Vice President - Research & Analysis.
You Will:
- Provide written market analysis and reasoned forecasts for required weekly, monthly and annual Market Advisory Services
- Maintain short- and long-term price and supply/demand models, including updates to the capacity database and updates of the quarterly supply/demand balances
- Maintain econometric models which determine production cash costs and margins
- Construct robust and defendable short-term & long-term price and margin forecasts
- Support existing clients with a focus on increasing Chemical Market Analytics' exposure inside client organizations
- Continuously and proactively market related Market Advisory Services to meet annual growth goals
- Develop strong connections to relevant industry associations
- Give market presentations at online & in-person client meetings, Chemical Market Analytics conferences, and other industry conferences
- Provide support to the Business Consulting Group for single client project work as required
- Travel regularly to attend relevant conferences, visit existing clients, and cultivate relationships with potential clients
You Have:
- 10+ years' significant relevant petrochemical industry experience
- Ability to identify and articulate core & essential issues within complex problems and deliver insights & solutions
- Experience covering national and global methanol markets (preferred)
- Chemical engineering, chemistry, economics, or business degreed (preferred)
- Master of Business Administration (preferred)
