Responsibilities and Expectations:

IPS is seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in operational excellence within a manufacturing/services atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of operational excellence across IPS, driving cost out and improving operational productivity. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, industrial operations, lean/Six Sigma, and leadership skills.

This role will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of I PS in addition to delivering cost-out across all P&Ls. He or she will collaborate closely with the service center management, regional leaders, engineering, and other functional teams managing overall risk and impact to IPS success.

Unmatched Customer Service

  • Assess current business performance, identify gaps, and establish/implement plans.
  • Monitor progress and facilitate sharing of best-in-class ideas and processes.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement across business areas and service centers.
  • Provide operational excellence support to IPS teams and service centers to include Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and operational layout.
  • Assist with implementation of quality improvement actions based on standard work planning and warranty claims.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and compliance in all shop activities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps leveraging standard work plans and data to create improvement plans and conduct monthly OPEX reviews with service centers and broader leadership
  • Facilitate project selection, prioritization, and execution driving improvement teams and addressing barriers to success.
  • Collaborate across the organization with supporting functions to include the CIP S team , managing CI framework, quality, engineering, finance, and local service center leadership.
  • Conduct value stream mapping and 6S activities serving as subject matter expert that would inform capital investment decisions
  • Own and manage operational excellence defining an improvement plan for each shop scaling based on need and investment.
  • Develop and manage budgets for operational improvement projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Develop and manage a 5 -yea r capital strategic investment plan.
  • Develop and monitor K ey P erformance I ndicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards operational goals and targets.
  • Stay up to date with operational trends, technological advancements, best practices, and lessons learned identifying opportunities to improve operational capability.
  • Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree; Industrial Engineering degree preferred or closely related degree.
  • 5-10 years' experience in an operations role in a traditional manufacturing plant is required.
  • 5-10 years' leadership experience in a previous OE or quality role.
  • Knowledge of process optimization strategies and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean/6S, or other related frameworks.
  • Computer proficiency in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
