Thisposition is responsible for managing and leading a team carrying out qualityassurance engineering and manufacturing engineering initiatives, and settingand attaining the goals of product quality, reliability, new product processes, aswell as supporting first customer installations/set-ups. This position isalso responsible for managing the predictability, repeatability, andsustainability of factory operations. This position includes leading anddirecting document control tool selection and improvement initiatives. Thisposition implies cross-functional support to R&D NPI teams, testengineering, supply chain & Commodity management, logistics, productionplanning, and product-field reliability team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functionalteams in determining root cause and implementing appropriate corrective actionsfor OEM, field and factory product non-conformance issues.
  • Provideexpertise and leadership in the use of statistical analysis and Six Sigma toolsand techniques where needed throughout the enterprise.
  • Developand provide management reports on the cost of quality, by program and function.Use and maintain data and reporting tools.
  • Develop,evaluate, revise and apply Procedures and Methods for SVSD OPS effectivenessand process improvement.
  • Analyze customer/industry/regulatoryspecifications and ensure compliance of SVSD products and processes.
  • Leadinitiatives to attain/maintain applicable global regulatory and qualitystandards certifications.
  • Represent quality/manufacturingorganization at committees, special working groups, commodity teams, etc.
  • Participatewith R&D engineering in the assessment of new product design quality andreliability.
  • Evaluatecompany, supplier, and customer specifications/requirements and determines theplanning and procedural requirements necessary to assure product qualityand manufacturability within realistic cost parameters (customer advocate).
  • Providesdirection to assure that quality and manufacturing process problems areresolved to minimize schedule impact and to assure specification compliance.
  • Maintainand/or administer an audit program to ensure conformance of the business unit'sproducts and systems to the overall product quality and system requirements.
  • AdministerMaterial Review activities on related products.
  • Survey suppliers/subcontractorsand assists suppliers with quality improvement methods.
  • Develop quality/manufacturingpolicies in support of management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering withat least fifteen years of experience managing in the Electronics ManufacturingIndustry. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experiencedwith Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, Statistical ProcessControl, Reliability.
  • Experiencewith Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO9001.
  • Experiencemanaging Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Experiencemanaging supply chain quality for component and EMS providers.
  • Experiencewith PLC (Product Life Cycle), PDM (Product Data Management)Processes, and Document Control Principles.
  • Also,specific experience in the manufacture of PCB's, PCBA's, Cables, MetalComponents (custom Chassis/Frames), Fiber Optics, andgeneral electro-mechanical manufacturing processes and box builds.
  • Mustbe able to lift 40 pounds.

Thesalary range for this position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role iseligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered isbased on the successful candidate's work location as well as additionalfactors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.
