Upper Pennisula of Michigan on Lake Superior 15 minute drive from Marquette 83 miles of shoreline Single physician outpaitent clinic staffed with LPN s and office staff, target patient load average of 20/day Call coverage shared with Family Practice, Marquette Pediatrics and APP coverage Inpatient Admissions - 0-1/week and 0-4/month, 20-25 deliveries/month, 7-10 C-sections/month Attend only high risk deliveries average 2 a month and within 20 miles of a NICU, no ride along required as covered by NICU team Meditech hospital system Onsite with Hospital (25 bed Critical Access), ER, Ambulance, Outpatient and Inpatient services Office Practice: Office has 4 exam rooms. Each provider is assigned one nurse (LPN s) depending on their patient volumes. Currently the office is open Monday through Friday, and the physician sees patients four and one half days per week (36 patient contact hours). Patients are generally booked at 15 and 30 minute increments with some overbooking of acute problems. A portion of the schedule is allotted for same-day appointments.
