AFL is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our ServiceNow Information Technology team in Duncan, SC. After gaining knowledge of our environment, there is the opportunity for this position to work under our Hybrid schedule working both in the office and remotely.

The ServiceNow Developer will play a key role in maintaining and maturing ITSM/ITBM modules of the environment. Responsibilities include core system configuration, handling day-to-day user requests and incidents, and overseeing technical design, ServiceNow code, and architecture. The developer will collaborate with key business units to build solutions and processes, supporting maintenance, continual service improvement, and new capabilities on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience with ServiceNow, including configuring core modules such as Service Catalog, Asset, ITSM and ITBM. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. ServiceNow System Admin Certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Optimize existing and develop new service catalog offerings and associated flows with a focus on continual improvement and automation.
  • Leverage Flow Designer to further mature the service catalog and migrate away from workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance on existing workflows for streamlining and improving efficiencies.
  • Identify inefficiencies to ultimately implement areas of automation.
  • Participate in the upgrade cycle of ServiceNow, including testing via the use of the Automated Test Framework.
  • Support the design of custom catalog items, working with business partners and the Service Catalog manager and Product Manager for implementation.
  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of the ServiceNow product, version upgrades, enhancements, new features, etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 4-6 years equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience as a ServiceNow Admin or application owner
  • Experience configuring core ServiceNow modules including Service Catalog, ITSM, ITBM.
  • Experience with JavaScript, JS libraries (Angular, Jelly, JQuery) and RestAPI required.
  • Experience with Serenity a plus.
  • Extensive application support experience with 3rd party products
  • Ability to draft and document test plans for both a technical and business user audience.
  • Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes
