What You'll Do:
- Engage with internal customers to understand, critically evaluate, and facilitate the development of solutions to their evolving business needs
- Collaborates with internal customers to gather customer requirements and translate the requirements to develop use cases and technical documentation to be used in development or reporting efforts
- Adopt and utilize project management methodologies tools such as Jira to document, define, and manage data projects from inception to completion
- Identify potential risks to achieving data project objectives
- Through collaboration with stakeholders, develop testing requirements and use cases to ensure alignment with objectives and quality outcomes
- Provide timely updates regarding program onboarding, data operations projects, and issue management
- Assists with the implementation and configuration of data validation, cleansing, and reporting tools
- Serves as data operations point person for company projects involving the data operations team
- Through research, identifies and proposes changes to our data process and capabilities
- Analyzes trends and is responsible for tactical and strategic recommendations
- Develops training and reference guides for company reporting and use
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Business related field, or 10+ years of related experience
- 5+ years' experience in Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or product strategy
- Experience working with Business users to create and validate requirements
- Demonstrated project management skills
- 3+ years of insurance experience in Product Management, Product Development, or Operations
- Experience preparing functional requirement documents and user stories
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative. Comfortable working both independently and with a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present both in person and virtually to senior management and train client audiences on a business and technical level
- Building consensus across business areas and other stakeholders to support new ways of thinking about capabilities and value
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with technical and non-technical employees
- Serves as an advocate for the customer and pursues products/services that promote ease of doing business and delivery of information that enables improved decision making
