ROLE SUMMARY
As part of a cross-functional team, the Lead UX Designer collaborates with marketing, technology, and creative partners to lead and implement the experience design strategy across all channels and touchpoints including web, mobile, and traditional media. The Lead Experience Designer leverages user-centered principles and methodologies to develop compelling concepts and artifacts, which solve visual and interactive design problems. This associate applies deep industry experience and knowledge of the market environment and competitor activities to deliver industry-leading, brand-aligned, end-to-end experiences for our intermediary audiences.

The Lead Experience Designer leverages user-centered principles and methodologies to develop compelling concepts and artifacts, which solve visual and interactive design problems. This associate applies deep industry experience and knowledge of the market environment and competitor activities to deliver industry-leading, brand-aligned, end-to-end experiences for our intermediary audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads complex projects or campaigns, allocating work, ensuring quality and accuracy, managing timelines and stakeholder satisfaction
- Promotes internal standards to drive brand alignment and design integrity, ensures work products promote high client engagement
- Reviews creative designs produced by less experienced team members, providing advice on work quality, task guidance, and constructive criticism when necessary
- Works with partners to understand business goals, user needs, and technology requirements to develop an experience strategy and supporting artifacts including: personas, user/task flows, user experience maps, user stories, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes
- Applies human-centered principles to develop innovative concepts which solve real-world business and design problems
- Works in a collaborative environment with content strategists, copywriters, graphic designers, digital marketers, and development teams to influence and produce engaging user experiences.
- Facilitates and/or leads team discovery and ideation sessions
- Maintains current knowledge of digital design and behavioral trends and best practices
- Contributes to, advocates for, and uses the corporate digital design system
- Employs a combination of research methods and usability testing to understand customer behavior, inform recommendations, and measure success
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- AND 8+ years of total relevant work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of industry tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); HTML/CSS, and JavaScript are a plus.
- Strong portfolio of design projects, both UX and UI; mastery of fundamental design disciplines such as typography, layout, color, and animation.
- Strong knowledge of user centered-design approaches, research, and usability principles.
- Experience working with developers to bring user experience and design to fruition
- Professional client-relationship management skills and commitment to client service
- Outstanding information design skills and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation skills
- Experience working with and/or building digital design systems
- Knowledge of accessibility standards
- Experience working within a lean/agile development model is a plus
