The Sec & Derivatives Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Citi Agency Lending is part of the overall Securities Services Business unit. The ASL Business facilitates the temporary transfer of securities from a lender to a borrower against collateral (securities or cash), enabling beneficial owners to generate incremental income on their portfolio securities. The services provided include: trade execution, trade settlement, collateral management, cash re-investment, recall/return processing, asset servicing and lender/borrower billing. Typical ASL clients include Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, Public Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Central Banks.

Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of accounts managed by the Securities & Derivatives areas
- Reconciling cash and holdings, and pricing securities
- Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
- Minimize risk to the bank by monitoring errors and suggesting solutions that reduce errors, and ensure adherence to audit and control policies
- Monitor, analyze and evaluate processes and data to ensure the accuracy and quality of completed settlement tasks
- Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management
- Support implementation of securities processing improvements
- Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes
- Develop and use knowledge of securities, processing practices and standards
- Provide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required
- Provide project support for technology enhancements and new product offerings
- Partner across the organization to drive results and handle escalations
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
