The Knowledge Manager (KM) will develop and design and implement knowledge management solutions in SharePoint within our DoD client's environment. The Knowledge Manager will maximize SharePoint capabilities to integrate information data sets to help with the policies, document, briefings, and other work products created in the program.

Some capabilities will be customized solutions designed specifically for our client, while others will use out of the box SharePoint and other office automation capabilities. The KM develops internal data strategy, goals, and roadmaps, working in a phased manner and growing our capabilities and their use. The KM serves as our lead involving identifying, gathering, processing, storing, and analyzing data sets, interpreting trends, and communicating results to manage and create our body of knowledge. The KM will develop technology-based automation, products, and useful organization aids to enable critical business data into consumable products used by our client. The KM will analyze business processes, create, test, implement, maintain, and document automated business processes and collaborative services.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with client staff, managers, and other leaders to help strategically plan, develop, analyze, and prioritize client capabilities in support of mission objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and define business processes to better evaluate impact, identify efficiencies, adjust priorities, and drive on-going strategic knowledge management planning through informed decision-making milestones.
  • Participate in activities to help modernize and improve data/information processing, and control, and provide real-time data access across the program. This includes but is not limited to SharePoint, collaboration portals, file sharing systems, and other platforms as required.
  • Develop, create, and execute knowledge management strategies and frameworks to integrate and synchronize knowledge management across the client's portfolio. The role carries activities such as knowledge creation, capture, collaboration, and transfer while ensuring consistency, standardization, integration, quality assurance, and compliance with applicable policies and security practices.
  • Advise and guide the creation of industry best practices in knowledge management through knowledge of industry and government.
  • Provide knowledge management technical support for troubleshooting, access, and appropriate tool use.
  • Assist in leveraging existing technology and automation tools in an integrated approach that influences people, processes, culture, and structure to commit and participate in KM activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance required.
  • A bachelor's degree is required for this position. 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. An associate degree and 2 years of relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • 5 years of experience working as a Knowledge Manager within SharePoint and other Microsoft-based systems.
  • Previous experience developing knowledge management strategies for government client's preferred.
  • Must have strong understanding of DoD correspondence styles, uses, and formats.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
